Friends of EliasTerms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Friends of Elias, LLC ("we", "us") about your use of our care log app (the "app"). By using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
The app is not for emergencies or medical advice. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. Always follow the child's care plan and the advice of their doctors. Don't rely on the app alone to decide whether a dose was given or is due.
Beta
The app is in beta. It may have bugs, change without notice, be unavailable at times or lose information. Please keep any records you can't afford to lose somewhere else as well, and tell us when something goes wrong.
Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old. You may only create a circle for a child you have the authority to care for, such as your own child or a child in your legal care.
Your account and your circle
- Keep your phone and account secure. Anyone who has your unlocked phone may be able to see and add to your circles.
- The person who creates a circle decides who to invite and what each person can see. Only invite people you trust with the child's information.
- Entries can be corrected but are kept as a history, so caregivers can see what changed and why.
What you put in the app
The information you and your circle add stays yours. You give us permission to store, copy and show it, only as needed to run the app for you and your circle. You're responsible for making sure what you add is accurate and that you're allowed to share it.
Please don't
- Enter identifying details the app asks you to avoid, such as real names, addresses, phone numbers or medical record numbers.
- Use the app to harass anyone, or add information you have no right to share.
- Try to get into circles or accounts that aren't yours, or interfere with the service.
- Copy, resell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
Ending your use
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we may end the beta, giving notice in the app when we reasonably can.
No warranty
We work hard to make the app reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows.
Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, Friends of Elias, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for it in the past 12 months or $50.
App stores
If you got the app from Apple's App Store or Google Play, their terms also apply. Apple and Google aren't responsible for the app or its support.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app about significant changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
